I love the end of September. Why you might ask...well first off we are in the 90's now here in Gilbert and man does it feel nice. Yah, some might think this is hot but for us Arizonans it is so nice. The nights and mornings are so nice and cool, low 70's, that we can finally open our doors. Yes, fresh air finally can come into the house! Also, it means fall is here and that means winter will be here soon. I am not a fan of winter but I love Thanksgiving and Christmas time that it makes winter look really good. At least there is no snow in Gilbert so winter is not so bad. Also, the stores start to get festive with Halloween and you can just feel that Christmas spirit coming. I love the Christmas spirit and you can feel it coming the end of Septmber. Also, now with the cooler temperatures, I can finally clean out my garage and pull my ugly weeds. No one wants to do this in the 115 degree weather. The last thing I can think of off the top of my head is all the fond memories I have that happened in October. I know it is not in September but I think about them now as October approaches. We did alot of traveling during my October Break when I was teaching. We went to Palmyra, Niagara Falls, Boston, and New York. I loved those knock off purses! We love New York and hope to be back soon. We also signed the docs to buy our house the end of September and moved in the first of October three years ago. Lots of good memories. Now do you see why I love the end of September. It is a great time. This picture was taken in UT up by Ryan's Parent's cabin. It was the only picture I could find that shows the leaves changing. That also occurs now, but not in Gilbert so the picture is the next best thing!

Slippery Ice
So Drew LOVES ice and it is especially good right now with him teething. Yes, his top two teeth still have not broken through but one is really close. Drew has been really cranky lately and I don't blame him one bit. I now put his ice in a mesh holder so it doesn't slip out of his hands. I tried it before and he didn't like it but now he will eat his ice from it. I just have to keep a watchful eye on Drew when Gizmo is eating ice also. Drew likes to steal Gizmo's ice and vice versa. That is why it is nice Drew will eat from the mesh holder because Gizmo won't touch it. My next video I will get is of Drew and Gizmo playing. They are so cute together and get along great. Drew loves to bug Giz and pull his hair. Drew knows what he is doing and laughs and poor Giz. He is such a good sport.

Already 9 months??!!
Yes, Drew is now 9 months old. Pretty soon we will be celebrating his first birthday. That will be exciting. So we went into the doctor for his 9 month check up and he weighs 18 lbs. 2 oz. and is 26 3/4 in. long. Yea, he is growing. He is still in the 10-25% range but that is where he has been his whole life. One thing we found out during our appointment is his top two teeth are just about to break through and he has an ear infection. No wonder he has been a little cranky lately. So now he is on an antibiotic and is starting to feel better, but still only his bottom two teeth are showing. He loves to crawl and is scared to death of certain noises. I can't even run the beaters without him screaming bloody murder. I made that mistake when I tried to make banana bread one morning. I ended up putting him in my room with the TV on and closed the door just so I could finish blending. It worked. He is just a little sensitive to scary noises, but we love him still. One thing he has learned from Gizmo is the love of ice. Gizmo loves to eat ice and so now when I give Gizmo a piece of ice I have to give Drew one also or he will try and eat Gizmo's broken up pieces. I got it one video and will upload it one of these days.
Drew definitely loves Daddy time. He loves when Ryan gets home from work because then he gets to play with Daddy. Ryan is such a good dad and a good husband. Every Saturday morning, Ryan gets up with Drew so I can sleep in. Then, if I have errands to do, he stays home so I can do them. Also, on Labor Day I told him he was mine for the day because I had a few projects for him to do. He has been so busy the past few months on Saturdays that I can never get him to do some things around the house. So, after he let me sleep in and cooked me breakfast, he went and bought my wood blinds to go through out the front part of the house and hung them all. There was only 5 of them but it takes alot of time and effort. I really appreciate all his help. I know he spoils me and I love him for that! That's why both Drew and I love him so much!
