So then a week later we went to see Santa at Bass Pro Shop and headed to Chick-fil-A after for lunch. While playing in the play area, some little boy decided to yank off her cast. Thank goodness her doctor got her in that afternoon and a pink cast was put on instead.

The Broken Wrist
On Tuesday, December 13th, Kylee and Drew were playing in Bryce's room while I was getting dinner ready for a friend. I was late and heard them playing loudly in there but was focused on getting dinner done. Just as I was about to start putting it in the car, I heard Kylee scream pretty loud. It was her hurt cry, so I sent Ryan in there. He comes out with Kylee who was just sobbing that her hand hurt. She decided to climb on the changing table and jump off it. I am sure a 5 year old boy gave her the idea. I gave her a quick hug and got dinner on the table and told everyone to eat. My kids are drama queens and thought she will forget about it after dinner. So I headed out and when I got back, Kylee is on the couch still sobbing. She is a Mommy's girl and so Daddy wasn't cutting it, she just wanted me. So I went and gave her loves and cuddled with her. She calmed down, so I told her it was bath time and to get ready. I watched her put her hurt arm down on the couch to get down, and she quickly changed arms because that one hurt. I knew then it might be broken. So after talking to Ryan, I took Kylee to Urgent Care. As soon as she held her hand out and tried to turn it, the doctor knew it was broken. We took x-rays and was sent home in a splint. All morning the next day, I was on the phone trying to find a specialist to put a cast on her wrist. Either she was too young, couldn't get her in for a week to 10 days, or they didn't take my insurance. Finally we found the Core Institute and got the cast on Thursday. I had to work that day and Kylee was not happy when she found out Daddy was taking her. Thank goodness for the Leapster and stickers. A purple cast was born!

Christmas 2012
I didn't take any pictures on Christmas, only video, so these pictures were just after Christmas.
We had a really nice Christmas. It was very low key, and I was better prepared this year so less stress. We had our traditional get together at my Mom and Dad's on Christmas Eve. I made the rolls a few days prior so they just had to de-thaw, which was absolutely perfect. While the kids were taking naps, Ryan put together Santa's present outside, which made the excitement start to build for Ryan and me. Right after naps, we headed out and had a delicious dinner and nice program to remind us of the true meaning of Christmas. Then we headed to the cul-de-sac of lights and ended the night with the fun gift exchange and dessert. The kids went to bed so excited, it took them a little bit to fall asleep. Of course, Christmas morning, they decide to not get up their usual time. I think my kids have literally sleep in maybe twice the whole year. Bryce woke up as usual and so at 7 AM we woke up Drew and Kylee. They were so excited to see what Santa brought and of course open presents. We left the big surprise for last, and boy were they surprised. A Trampoline!!! Santa got this baby for an awesome deal on Craigslist in April, so it was nice to finally put it to use. Then we got ready and headed to my Mom's church and then opened more presents after. Our kids went to bed Christmas night so happy with huge smiles on their faces, which made us happy. We were so blessed this year and the kids are already looking forward to next year.

Santa

A few days before Christmas, my friend invited us to go to Bass Pro Shop to see Santa. I am so glad we did. After working so much right before Christmas, I really wasn't in the Christmas mood. I was just not excited and just looking forward to some days off of no work. Well, as we were leaving I thanked my friend for the invite because my spirits were uplifted. It set the perfect mood for the rest of the week, through the weekend.
This picture was taken 1 week after Kylee got her cast first on...
