When I found out I was having a girl I was so excited. I thought having a girl would calm my wild little boy and he would love his sister like a brother should. Boy was I in for a rude awakening. Ever since we brought Kylee home from the hospital Drew has been so jealous of her. He wouldn't even come near her for 2 whole weeks. I didn't mind because he got sick the day I went into labor but was glad when he finally warmed up to her. Now that Kylee is old enough to understand things, she is constantly jealous of Drew. She steals his cars and toys all the time because she knows it will make him mad. Of course she learned this behavior from Drew. It is a constant battle in our house and there is always someone whining or screaming, it seems. This week seemed to have hit the peak and I am hoping it will get better, yesterday was a good day. What does a mother do??!!!
Also, before I had Kylee, I always thought Drew would be the first to brake something, wrong again. The end of April, Kylee was climbing on our little Rubbermaid drawer we keep outside for the outside toys and fell. She must have landed wrong because it wasn't a big fall by any means. She ended up fracturing her collar bone. One who looked at her would have never guessed unless you touched her collar bone or she would trip and fall on it funny. Even in the waiting room to get x-rays, she was climbing all over the chairs and me. So the first brake and x-ray goes to Kylee. And of course, me being pregnant couldn't go in with her to get her x-ray so the sweet nurse at the front desk had to be the "mom" and restrain my stubborn daughter. She didn't like it one bit. After a week of recovery, she is back to normal and back to sleeping better, thank goodness!
As I was thinking about my 2 little boogers yesterday on the way to Ikea to get our free kids meals, I was smiling as Kylee was singing in her car seat and Drew was sharing his drink with his sister and being such a nice big brother. Yes, Kylee sang to herself all the way to Ikea. It cracked Ryan and me up. Drew would never sing and still won't sing to this day. My kids drive me crazy, seriously all day long, but at the end of the day, I am so grateful to be their mom. And I keep praying that one day they will just love each other and we can have more good days.

The Madness Continues

A Few Missed Pictures
Way back in March, I looked everywhere for some flip flops for Kylee. She loves sandals and was so mad when it came time to put her shoes on that she couldn't wear sandals. She wears a size 4 in toddler and that is a difficult size to be in when it comes to flip flops. Sandals are so expensive for little kids. I love Old Navy's flip flops but the smallest size they make is 5. So I finally came across a fabulous deal and got her some flip flops. She was so excited. She loved wearing them. Only problem is she loves taking them off too.
Drew loves playing with my Family blocks and it drives me crazy. Kylee and Drew also loved playing with their pictures. I had them in a drawer for a little bit and pulled them out one day and they had to hold them and carry their pictures around. One day, I come into the family room with this arrangement. At least the picture is in equal proportion to the blocks!

McDonald's has been the kids favorite place to play. Yesterday we went to the one by our house as a reward for being good. It make s a cheap reward because I get their $1 drink and we all share a large fry. I loved this play area because it had this little slide for Kylee and the big slides and play area was more open than a lot of the other ones. I knew exactly where my kids were playing.

Last but not least this is Drew with his new Fireman hat. We were in the pharmacy drive thru picking up a prescription when a firetruck parked just a little ways off. Drew's window was rolled down and immediately shouting, "A firetruck!!" I told him to wave and say hi and he did but he was very quiet when he said hi. The firemen were so nice. They had to walk pass us to go into the store and they all came to Drew's window and a few shook his hand. One guy went back to his truck and got a hat and sticker. Drew was in heaven!!! I love Gilbert Firemen!
