New Blog Address

After much contemplating and discussion, we have decided to change our blog address to
amyandry.blogspot.com
I won't change it for a week or so to make sure everyone who checks our blog sees the new address. Also, anyone who has us on your blog links, just don't put our last name on it. That is the whole purpose of changing our address to keep our last name off our blog. In December, when I was finding a few addresses on dexonline, I typed in our name and there we were. We have a very different last name. Kind of scary to think that anyone could figure out where you live. So it is just for safety. Thanks!

Drew's 2 Favorite Things

Water and Gizmo!! Drew just absolutely loves Gizmo and loves to play with him and give him hugs. Gizmo is very good and will just sit there and let Drew pull his hair and sit on him. They love to play with Gizmo's toys. Drew knows how to tease Gizmo and loves to do it with his toys. Then when Gizmo gets his toy out of Drew's hand, Drew gets upset, but he is learning it is all apart of playing. He just has to go and get it back from Gizmo.

Drew's 2nd favorite it water! Last night, Ryan helped me get the splash pad put together so Drew could play with it today. It is a little bit smaller than I had thought, looking at the picture on the box, but once we got the water going, I think it will be just perfect. I got it last summer when it was 75% off at Target. I think that is what I am going to do every year, because you can't beat $7. I am sure Drew will grow old of this, so I will have to find another one for him next year. He had so much fun playing in the water and drinking it. I enjoyed being able to get a little sun on my legs because they are very white! So we had a fun time this morning and now I am looking forward to some quiet time at 1:30!

Sprinkler Video

Here is that video I promised everyone of Drew playing in the sprinklers. I think it is my favorite video so far of him. He is quite the character. It was a quite cooler day so the water was cold and so was the air but he didn't care. Next time he will wear his water sandals because he scares me when he runs on the wet cement! Enjoy!

What a Weekend

Where do I even begin. We were planning on going camping with all my family this past weekend. I packed everything Thursday night and really all I had to do was make the Tin Foil Dinners. Friday morning Drew wakes up at 2:30 in the morning. He had a rough night before and took him 45 min. just to fall asleep. So we knew something was up. I take his temperature and it is 102. I tried to put him back to sleep and he sleeps for an hour and doesn't want anything to do with his crib. So I rock him in the chair and we sleep for a little bit but by 5 AM he is done. So now I have this crabby boy who just wants to be held. Yes, that picture is a horrible one of me, but you get the idea of my night! Ryan gets up at 6 and takes over so I can sleep. I get up at 8 and get Drew into the doctor. He is so upset the second I step foot into the office. He cried the entire time and worked up quite the sweat. The poor nurse. We have never seen her before and I felt really bad because it had nothing to do with her. So turns out Drew just had a fever with the aches, nothing else. The doctor and I were both surprised. So I finally was able to get Drew to bed at 12:15 and he woke up 3 hours later and his fever was gone. I was so excited. He started to play with his toys and even ate some lunch. I made a few phone calls and we were off for Forest Lakes by 4 PM. By the time we got in the car, Drew decided to be crabby once again but we survived. We knew it would be a long camping trip but I really wanted to go. I already packed and everything.

So camping was a lot of fun. Very cold and I wasn't as prepared as last time. I learned and will do better next time. We bought this blow up mattress that is the double decker, I call it, and it was so comfortable, I was just worried all night Drew was cold that I didn't sleep much. Drew woke up at 5 but we didn't get up till 6. He was feeling better Saturday and played a little more but was still clingy to me but finally let Ryan hold him, which gave me a break. We had fun roasting marshmallows, playing games, and celebrating my niece's birthday. We borrowed Ryan's family's Ranger and everyone had fun riding it around. We found a great spot just outside of Forest Lakes. Drew loved the 4 wheel rides and couldn't get enough of them. We had a horrible ride home because Drew wouldn't sleep or take a nap before or during the ride home. Sunday, we decided to keep Drew home from church, which ended up being a wise decision, and Drew slept for 3 hours and 45 min. for his nap. I still had to go in and wake him up. We also hit 105 degrees yesterday which made for a very hot Sunday. Today is suppose to be close to 110! Not fun at all. But by Thursday we are suppose to be back in the 80's. Go figure! So that was our wonderful weekend. We were hoping it turned out a little different but that's OK. We still had fun!

I stole these pictures from Mary and Cindi. Check out their blogs if you want to see more pictures. I brought my camera but never had a chance to get it out because I was usually stuck with a little boy in my arms!

Fun in the Sprinklers!

We turned our sprinklers on the other day after Ryan got home from work because our grass in the backyard is really doing horribly. Come to find out, grass was trying to grow inside half of them. While we had the sprinklers on, Drew decided he wanted to touch the water. His reaction was priceless. We did video alot of his fun and will post it another day. For now, you just get pictures. He had a blast getting wet. Too bad it was a day it decided to be 82 and not 95. Mother Nature can't decide if we shouold be in the 80's or 90's but next weekend we are suppose to finally hit 100! Yah, that's when summer begins for us. I also took Drew to one of the Splash Pads by our house last week and he had a blast. I forgot the camera but will take pics next time. I am so happy Drew loves to play in the water because it will make this summer more fun!

So, I am finally out of my first trimester and finally starting to feel better. I am getting my energy back which is nice because I like having a clean house. I am finally able to get some of my little projects done like clean out the fridge and clean out our storage room. Those both needed some good throwing out, organizing, and cleaning. Our fridge is still not fixed but now we know what the problem is after paying money for a repairman to tell us what is wrong but didn't want to pay him $400 to fix it. We are hoping Ryan can find the part, order it, and install it himself.

Then this is what Ryan was doing tonight, with Drew's help of course. Ryan is changing our garbage disposal and Drew thinks he is the expert with the screwdriver. Come to find out, we had a hole in it. I found water on my floor twice today and finally investigated the source and found water all over the cabinet under our sink. I am just grateful we found the problem today and not on Sunday. When it rains, it pours here. We are still looking for our perfect car. I hope we can find it quick because it will be 100 degrees next weekend. Poor Ryan, I run too many errands a day to not have AC in my car so he gets stuck with the crappy car. I know we can fix it but we would rather sell it as is and if we can't sell it, then fix it. We know we will be blessed, just need to be patient.
