Oops!!!

For those who know me quite well, know that I am an organized planner. I figure things out, make a plan, and execute that plan. Well, Nov. 30 was a shocking day for the organized planner here. I woke up rather cold and couldn't shake the chills. I made some hot chocolate and about threw it up. I thought, that is weird and then the wheels start turning in my head. Within an hour we went to Walmart and shortly after confirmed my suspicions. I called Ryan and he didn't believe me. I had to text him a picture of the pretty 2 blue lines. After overcoming the initial shock, we are excited. So, baby #3 is due August 7...but I'm thinking more the end of July.

Drew update!

So I feel like I have been updating you on Kylee and not Drew, so here is a whole post dedicated to Drew. Wow, what can a say, this boy has been showing some sass lately. I think he sees Kylee pulling tantrums and he thinks has to do the same thing. Too bad no one wins with tantrums in this house. In October, I singed Drew up for a class that the City of Gilbert puts together. It was so nice to have his neighbor friend do it with him. He loved it and it gave me a 45 min. break that always flew by. Since doing that class, I have seen such growth in Drew. He is growing up right before my eyes. He is talking better and man his vocabulary has doubled. I was so glad I signed him up for another class that started the beginning of January. This class is like a pre-preschool class and I love that it is an hour long. They are only 1 day a week, which I think is perfect for him right now. It amazes me how much that little brain soaks up in just an hour. So it is nice for Drew to have a break from the house once a week and go to his class.

Drew is starting to actually play with Kylee and I love it. They spent a good 30 min. in his room playing one day without any problems. I was amazed. He still loves his trucks and trains and is starting to ride his bike more, rather than play with his coupe car. Once challenge we are dealing with now is monsters. Ever since going to Utah, Drew has been scared going to bed and thinks there are monsters in his room. We have done everything to squash this fear but every night is still a fight to go to bed. Tonight only took me 5 min. to put him to bed rather than 20 min so maybe it is getting better. Only time will tell. Also, my little Drew is now a Sunbeam!! I still can't believe that. He is the youngest one in his class, and it shows. He is really struggling because he wants to play with the toys and not sit in a chair. The first Sunday he sat on his teacher's lap squirming and being quite disruptive. That week for Family Home Evening we talked about how we are to sit in Primary and being reverent. He did better the next Sunday but it will take time with him. The embarrassing part is he has to take his blanket with him and that thing is so ragged, but if it helps I guess I will just swallow my pride.

I have to share this little story because it made me laugh. So we have 10:30 AM church now and it has its pros and cons. Well, Kylee had a rough night so after Sacrament Ryan took her home to eat lunch and put her down for an early nap. I went with Drew to the car to get his blanket so he could take it to Primary, and he saw Ryan in the car and asked where he was going. Knowing Drew doesn't like to take early naps I told him Daddy was taking Kylee home to take a nap. He said he wanted to go too. I told him he could either go home and take a nap or go to Primary. He of course chose Primary. So I walked him to the Primary room, and as we entered and began walking to his chair, he starts to cry and turns to me and says he want to go home and take a nap. I smiled, and really laughed inside, and told him no he needed to go to Primary. He didn't argue with me but continued to cry. The things a child will do to not go to Primary!

Kylee's 15 Months!

Yes, we are at the 15th month mark now and counting the days till Kylee is 18 months because then she will be in nursery at church!!! Kylee had her check up on Monday and was still 18.5 pounds (3%) and is just about 31 in tall (65%). So she is tall and skinny. I think she will surpass her brother in the height department by the time she is 2! The doctor wasn't too concerned about her weight because she has been sick with an ear infection and teething like crazy but he was concerned about her pooping issues. She poops seriously 6 to 7 times a day and at least half of those are acidy/diarrhea. The poor girl always has a diaper rash. Well, the pooping is a concern because Kylee doesn't like fruit and I have given up on baby food. So the only reason she could be pooping so much would be her milk. Now, that is a whole other issue. She loved her bottles and had no problem drinking 6 to 8 oz in 10 min. but since switching to whole milk and a sippy cup, I am lucky to get her to drink 9 oz a day. Now, that is a concern. So now the experiment begins. As of Monday, Kylee has been on soy milk, actually to be technical, vanilla soy!! I was a little worried at first because this girl can be picky in new things, but man does she love that vanilla soy.

She now drinks about 16 to 18 oz a day! And I have noticed such a change in her. She has been so much happier this week and has half as many dirty diapers as before. What a blessing. Poor girl probably had tummy aches while drinking whole milk. Now if only I can get more than an hour and 45 min nap out of her, I will be in heaven! I am also happy to report that we have another fruit to add to the menu, raisins! One of these days she will hopefully like more, but I am just happy I have 3 to choose from rather than just apple sauce. Kylee still loves to try to keep up with Drew and has to do everything he is doing. She is starting to understand the riding toys we have and will climb on them and then scream for you to push her. She doesn't quite get the whole "use your own legs to make it go" yet. So hopefully at our next appointment we will finally surpass the 20 pound mark and finally have all 4 molars in place.

We survived Christmas

As much as I love Christmas, it is always nice to get things back to normal. Christmas Eve was very nice. We spent it at my parent's house with our traditional Christmas Eve dinner and going and looking at lights in Chandler, the famous street that every house has decorated. This year we added a little program to remember the true meaning of Christmas and it was great! Christmas morning, Drew woke up at 7:30 and saw the tool workshop Santa brought him. He was so happy. Kylee slept in till almost 8 and was excited to play with the screws. We opened our presents and then headed to my parents and opened presents over there. A few of my siblings were missing so it seemed small but we had fun. We went to Ryan's brothers house later that day and ended the night with laundry and packing. That is the only bad thing about traveling the day after Christmas. You have to do laundry and pack on Christmas but we survive every year. We headed up to the freezing land of UT. Man was it cold but we had fun. Drew loved sledding and playing in the snow. He begged every day to go outside. Kylee liked the snow till she felt it with her hand and realized how cold it was. She was done after that. It is always nice to take a vacation and see family, oh and to eat my aunt's yummy Chinese food, but it is always nice to come home. My kids don't sleep well unless they are in their own beds. I am still trying to get the routine back to normal, hopefully by next week. Kylee still thinks it is OK to only take a 1.5 hour nap. Anyways, sorry no pictures but I wanted to get this posted before January came and went!
