Help!

Last year, Ryan replaced our carpet throughout alot of the house with laminate flooring. It was a huge effort and he did a great job, but there are a few problems. Some of the laminate pieces have broken from the groove right in the middle of the main walking area from the kitchen to the family room. I don't know if he didn't hook them up right or what but you can feel the separation when you walk on them and some creaking. I am so sick of it. I hate walking in that area but can't avoid it. Does anyone out there no of a good flooring person who deals with laminate flooring that could possibly fix this problem? I have learned that in the future I will just hire out these big jobs. They get done right and so much faster. Please, if anyone knows anyone. I just want someone honest and dependable. You can leave the info anonymously. Thanks!

UPDATE: Ryan says he is going to fix the floor all by himself. I guess I just needed to complain for him to try and do it. I told him he could do it as long as I didn't have to be there. He doesn't have a lot of patience sometimes...I wonder where he learned it from. My mannerism seems to have rubbed onto Ryan. I am getting better, I do have to say!

How Did that Happen??!!

So the other day I was in the Den reading some emails and not paying attention to Drew. He loves his freedom and would rather explore the house than play with toys. Everything that would either break or make a mess I have relocated so he can't get into trouble. On this particular day, Drew was a little quiet, too quiet, so I went to go and see what he was doing. He was still in the family room sitting on the floor playing and as I took a few more steps, I noticed he was playing with what looked like to be spit up and then I took a few more steps and realized what he was playing in.....Bag Balm. Oh my gosh, I started to laugh so hard. He just looked at me with this face like please don't be mad. I couldn't stop laughing and thought I need to take a picture to show Ryan. Now for those of you who don't know what Bag Balm is and have a baby, you are crazy. This stuff is the best diaper cream in the universe. Thanks to my sister-in-law Karen who told me about it, Bag Balm works way better than Butt Paste or any other baby product out there and it has been around for ages. I call it the miracle cream because Drew will have a really bad diaper rash, and I put Bag Balm on it and it is gone in a day or two. The other stuff would take a week. The cheapest place to buy it is at Target but you have to ask for it in the Pharmacy. Don't ask me why it is behind the counter. Anyways, it has the consistency of petroleum jelly and was quite fun to clean up. The good that came out of this is Drew kept it mostly on him and the container than on the rug! Don't ask me how he got the container lid off, that is a mystery!

Whiney, Snorting Laughs from Drew

Yes, Drew now loves to snort. He has learned that by blowing air through his nose it makes a funny noise, especially with a stuffy nose. It is really quite funny. We are both trying to get over this nasty cold. We got it a week ago. I know, a cold in the summertime and especially in Arizona, go figure. He was hanging out with me on the couch, snorting up a storm but once I got the video camera, he got camera shy. His laughs were a little winey because it was naptime in 10 minutes. Listen to his longer snort when he falls and gets back up. It is hillarious. I tried really hard to get his two teeth but when I zoomed in, it was a little blurry because of Drew moving too much. At least you can see his one tooth really well!

Family Update

These past two weeks have been quite the week for our family. Drew finally got his second tooth...YAY! It finally broke through yesterday. I know that is why he hasn't been taking good naps and has been very winey lately. Hopefully he can get back to his usual self. I will try and get a picture of his teeth. As for me, I am doing really well. I just had a D&C done today at Banner Mesa and I am feeling really well. I am actually surprised at how I don't feel any pain, my legs are a little restless and that is it. I thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers on behalf of our family. We know things happen for a reason and will come out of this challenge better and stronger. I just wished I didn't have to have this surgery. When we paid our 10% for the procedure, we were caught off guard a bit at how expensive hospitals are. We are just grateful we have insurance to cover the 90%. I just can't wait to get back to the gym. I have really missed going to my classes and working out. I guess that is a good thing. I am hoping to lose 15-20 pounds by the first of November. I figured if I post it, I have to follow through! We'll see how it goes! As for the background for the blog, it is still a work in progress. I am still messing around with it.

Can You Say BED HEAD!

Drew's hair is starting to get really long. I need to ask Wendi to trim it but haven't gotten around to it yet. So, the other day, I got Drew up from his nap and this is what his hair looked like. It was so hillarious. His hair is so light and fine the camera did an OK job in picking up all the funny details. I just couldn't stop laughing. Ryan has really bad bed head in the morning, I wonder if this will stay with Drew for the rest of his life. Only time will tell. Well, this week has been quite the week for the Amann household. We are surviving and realize how blessed we are to have Drew in our family. We love him to pieces and he brings such happiness into our lives. Also, I am trying out a few different backgrounds for our blog. Hopefully I will stick with just one by next week.
