So after much thought I decided Kylee was ready for her "big girl bed". For the past month it takes her forever to fall asleep at night and she fights me every time I put her to bed which has never been like her. Kylee always wants to do what her big brother is doing and one night last week Ryan put her on Drew's bed and she laid down so nicely. So a few nights ago we made the big change and surprisingly, she has done well. She doesn't cry when it is bedtime and at night it still take her a while to fall asleep but doesn't scream for us to come in and play her little games so I think it has been a success. That first night I was dying to go in and see how she fell asleep but I waited an extra hour to be sure she was asleep. This is how I found her. Yes, she has her shorts up way high! I am so glad this transition has been a smooth one. Now the crib is set up in our closet for the next little monkey to join our family. Poor thing gets to have our closet for a room but it's the best situation for everyone. Our house is still up for sale but who knows if we will get an offer worth accepting and I have to get ready for the new baby. I already told Ryan the house is off the market come the end of July or earlier if this baby decides to come early.
And just for fun I took the kids picture today. I had to take Drew's head shot for his Primary teacher and Kylee wanted to be apart of it. So I tried to get her to give Drew a hug or hold his hands but she was being pretty sassy this morning. She has learned how to say NO with this little attitude...it is sooo annoying. I hope she grows out of that one soon. Drew is starting to be a much better big brother. I am starting to see the love between these two and it makes me smile. Yes, we still have the teasing and the screaming but they are starting to play so much better together. It makes me happy.

Lazy but Crazy May
Yes, I have been lazy when it comes to posting. I just haven't been taking pictures of the kids and hate posting without pictures. Plus, it is starting to get hot here and the heat is starting to take its toll on me. And double whammy is how swollen I am getting, which is nothing new to me when it comes to being pregnant, but it makes it harder to want to sit at the computer for too long or my left leg is absolutely a marshmallow! So, I will make this a quick post and will try and post more frequently. These pictures are of Drew and how I found him one night before going to bed. He does weird things when he can't get comfy and fall asleep. He gets creative with his body and blankets. This night he decided to stuff his blanket in his shirt. And yes, he sleeps with 3 blankets over him at naps and bedtime. It used to be 4 till I made him put one away. He is one crazy boy!
May came and went so fast. We stayed busy and enjoyed a cool May for Arizona standards. I tried to take the kids to the playground once a week before the 100's hit and they were in heaven. Drew started swim lessons the last week in May and first week in June. His teacher was Miss Aubrie from our ward and she was awesome with Drew. He struggled the first week, but it was a cold week. We got some cooler weather, I think we got into the high 80's, so the water was still cold. He also had some sort of fear towards the end of the first week. So that weekend we went to Ryan's brother's house and went swimming to help him become more comfortable with the water. I don't know if that helped or a bribe from me, but the second week he did fabulous. He got bumped up to the 2nd level and loves swimming. He actually would just jump off the step and swim under water till his teacher would pull him out. Of course he did this when he was suppose to be sitting on the step while his teacher was helping another student. We videoed him. I will try and post it soon. So that was fun. Poor Kylee wanted to swim with Drew but she got to hang with me. Lucky her!
Other than that, we started June off pretty lazy and just survived the whole week without Ryan. We all miss him and can't wait to pick him up at the airport tonight. I don't know how my sister does it. Her husband has been gone for almost a month now and won't be back for 2 more weeks. Being a single mom is sooo hard. It is so nice having extra help. Plus the kids love playing with Ryan when he gets home. I already forewarned him to be prepared to be clobbered tonight. I am just trying to stay cool in this awful heat. Thank goodness I get a break this weekend of 90 degree temperatures. I just hope I can survive the next few weeks till this little monkey comes!
