To Love or Hate
Tonight during prayer, Kylee was saying them and while Ryan was telling her what to say, she interrupts and says "Bless we can go to McDonald's." It was absolutely the cutest. I used McDonald's as a bribe this week and at times it works, but not this week. We had a horrible morning yesterday and today, so we have yet to make is to McD's, but maybe tomorrow. We shall see.

The Big 6 Months!
OK, horrible picture. I will have to post another one later.
On Friday, Bryce turned 6 months and had his check up. He is now a whopping 17 lbs and 2.5 oz (50%) and 27 in long (75%) and his head is 17 in (36%). He jumped in all categories and I am just so impressed with his height and weight gains! I had to look back at Drew and Kylee's stats at 6 months: Drew was 15 pounds and 25 inches long and Kylee was 13 pounds but I didn't write her length so I need to look it up in my file. But Bryce is just one big boy compared to Drew and Kylee. He is now on a different formula, and it seems to be the keeper, for now. Alimentum, come to find out, has soy in it, along with every formula available in the stores. So we are on a special kind that is milk and soy free. He also has started on vegetables and loves sweet potatoes. Squash is a definite no and peas are a maybe, still not sure on that one. Later this week, I am going to try carrots and see if he likes them, but no fruits for another month. He loves to coo and caw, no babbling yet, but man, this kid has a voice. The exersaucer and the frogger are his favorite toys to play with right now, but he loves chillin on the floor still, playing with his hands and feet. He can sit up all by himself with a little balance check here and there. We don't sit him up too much because of his reflux, but he seems fine sitting there. He is just about ready to scoot, and I say give him 2 or 3 weeks and he will be crawling. I think he will be much happier once he starts crawling, because he gets very frustrated right now not being about to move about more. After a 3 month set back, he finally got back to sleeping through the night this past week. I wasn't pushing too hard because of his reflux but knew he was ready to get rid of the early morning snack once again. So we pushed no bottle last Monday, and stayed firm, and it is working. He is going back to sleep and only woke up 2 times last night because he either spit up or wanted his binky. Bryce is really a great boy and I absolutely love his laugh and smile. He loves to be tickled with my nose on his chin and throat. But when it comes to getting him back to sleep, Ryan has the magic touch. And we discovered during some perfect weather days, that he loves laying and just chillin on the grass. Such a cute boy!

Our Busy Christmas
Christmas was fun this year because our kids are getting older and understanding things more. No pictures, sorry. Drew broke our camera, and we can't buy another one till we sell our Altima, which will go for sale this weekend, cross your fingers it sells quick. I don't like taking pictures with my camera because the quality isn't that great and when taking them inside, the pictures are so dark. So, I had a video to post of Ryan going into Drew's room and talking to him before he came out and his awesome reaction when he sees what Santa brought him, but he is taking forever to transfer it to the computer, as usual, and I want to post this before summer comes.
Christmas Eve was a little crazy because we headed to Utah Christmas afternoon. So I had to have everything ready Christmas Eve afternoon, because everything closed so early and everything is closed on Christmas. We headed to Rick and Karen's house that morning because they celebrated Christmas a day early. They too were leaving for Utah on Christmas Day. Then everyone went home while I went and ran errands. Then, after naps, we went over to my parent's house for dinner and a nice program. This year we did our gift exchange on Christmas Eve so it was quite the busy night. Then we ended with our traditional walk around the culdasac in Chandler looking at lights.
Christmas morning was so much fun. Drew loved the bike he got from Santa, and after waking up Kylee, she loved the kitchen she got. We opened presents that we had under the tree and the kids loved everything. Then we headed to my Mom and Dad's for breakfast and opened their gifts to our kids. My Dad had to work on Christmas and the get together at my parent's house wasn't till 4 PM, but we had a long drive ahead of us, so we just went over for breakfast. We let the kids take a nap and then we headed for Utah.
It was nice that no one was on the road, but the kids weren't all that great past Page. Kylee doesn't like to sleep in her car seat and would cry so long and loud that it would wake up Bryce and Drew. Then we would get everyone settled and Kylee would be calm and then throw a tantrum in her car seat and wake up everyone. It was a little frustrating but we finally made it to Provo. We stayed there for a whole week and the kids loved playing with Grandma and Grandpa and all their cousins. Half way through the week, a huge snow storm came and it was super cold and we got tons and tons of snow. Drew had so much fun sledding. He did awesome and never complained about how cold it was. He was just in heaven sledding with his cousins. We had fun going to my Aunt and Uncle's house on New Year's Eve and headed home New Year's Day in the morning. The ride home was so much better. We always traveled at night because Drew had a hard time during the day but Kylee is the opposite. Now that Drew is older he travels better so I think we are day travelers now. The drive home was way cold...I think we hit negative 10 degrees at one point, but once we got home, it wasn't too cold. It was such a nice Christmas at home and in Utah. Our kids were so happy, that's all that matters!
