Oh the Drama

It has been quite impossible to take pictures of Kylee these days. She is quite the wiggler!

I have been quite lazy and feel I have the right to be lazy this week. I have been so busy, nonstop, since November, so when I finally had a week of nothing, I took advantage of being lazy. It was so nice. But just because I was lazy doesn't mean it was boring. Oh no, one of my kids always surprises us with something. Last weekend, both kids had colds, Drew had a cough and horrible, snotty nose, so we were just going to go to Sacrament on Sunday but Saturday night ended up being horrible. Kylee had really bad reflux and a bad stomach ache. I didn't know what to do for her. She didn't want to sleep at all come 11 PM. Finally at 1 AM I brought her into our bed and still had issues. I finally slept with her in our recliner until 5 AM. I fed her and then she went back to sleep in her crib. I probably got 2 hours of sleep. So we missed church completely because I was exhausted and had cranky baby and attitude boy. I figured out the culprit...Mexican Food. She doesn't like spicy foods. So I am sad I have to give that up until I stop nursing. She kept her stomach ache until yesterday, Thursday. We finally had a good day yesterday. I am just glad she is back to sleeping and nursing better. I am so ready to give up nursing but I am trying so hard to hang in there. I think 6 months is going to be my goal.

Anyways....then today, Ryan works half days on Friday and I love it. I go and run errands when the kids go down for their naps. I get home and Ryan tells me that Kylee woke up just after I left and rolled over. Now, you might think I am horrible but Kylee sleeps on her tummy. She has been since she was 2 months. She sleeps so much better. So she rolled from her tummy to her back and was just laying there laughing and entertaining herself. What a goof. But then she didn't want to go back to sleep. Great, now I have to deal with this for a few days. But other than my kids STILL have colds and we have been enjoying our 70 degree weather, I really can't complain. We are tackling the weeds tomorrow and got our garage cleaned last weekend. I love spring weather!

PS - Still trying to find that perfect dog. We tried to get one on our way home from UT but they were sold before we could get there. Hoping for some good luck here soon. We so miss have a doggy!

Drew's 2 Yr. Stats

I know I am late, but it was only a month. Last week was a busy one for us. I had to go to the chiropractor on Wednesday, so Drew got adjusted too. Thursday was his 2 year check up and Saturday I finally got his pictures taken. He was great for the first 5 minutes and then cranky the rest of the time. So I didn't have too much to choose from but I think I got a cute one of him.

Stats:

23.8 lbs (5%)

32 in tall (3%)

Head is 19.25 in (50%)

Like I said at 18 months, I have a short kid with a big head! Yes, we still wear 12 month pants and have to roll some up STILL. One day he will grow. He is in excellent health and passed all his tests except for his speech. He is a little bit behind but I am really not worried because right around his birthday he just exploded in his words. He says so many words now and has started to say a few phrases here and there. The doctor was a little concerned but we are going to wait till he his 3 and see where he is at then. Everyday he gets so much better in his talking. The other morning, he wanted Ryan to make him some breakfast so he goes up to him and says "Cook"! It was too funny. Lately Drew has been such a cuddle bug and we love it. He gives the best hugs where he puts his arms around you and squeezes and he gives the best kisses with sound effects and all. Just this morning he wanted to sit by me and gives me a kiss right out of the blue. What a cutie. He also loves his sister and loves to give her kisses. I have no doubt that they will be the best of friends. Kylee loves to watch him play. He is still into Cars, Trucks, Planes, and Trains. Still my total boy and loves to push things around. He loves playing with his friends and cousins. He is still sleeping in a toddler bed and does superb in it. I can't wait to start potty training but not pushing it. Just like the toddler bed, I have a feeling I will know when it is right to start potty training. I am hoping this Spring. Ryan would like to do it now but Drew is no where near ready. We will have to wait and see. I have learned you can't push the whole potty training thing. We just love this boy!

PS----If you click on the picture, you can see his brakfast on his face. I wiped his face but forgot to double check I got everything!

Getting Back to Normal

Kylee's Christmas dress. She wanted to eat in this picture so she wasn't happy.

We had a very nice Christmas. Drew woke up at 7:15 and came in bed with us till 7:45. He was so excited to get a lawnmower for Christmas. He didn't want to open any presents under the tree.

This was taken in UT but the only picture I have with the lawnmower we ended up getting him.

We then went over to my Mom's house. It was fun to have most of the grandkids there and all opened up gifts from my Mom and Dad. Drew got a basketball hoop and Kylee got a train. Drew thinks the train is his and hopefully Kylee can play with it when she gets a little bit older. We hung out at my parent's house till nap time and came home. Then we headed to Ryan's brother's house and spent the evening there. It was a great Christmas. Ryan got a new coat, pajama bottoms, athletic pants, and some jeans. I got some perfume, an apron, and a pedicure.

Some were a little tired by the time we finished opening presents!

Drew loves his cousins.

Of course it is not a get together at my parent's house without a game of cards!

Kylee's cute shirt Wendi bought and wrote My 1st Christmas...Thanks Wendi!

Then on the 27th we headed out at 4 AM to Utah. The roads were still a little icy in some parts but we made it up safely, with only one little scare. I tried to pass a big truck outside of Panguitch and then a car started to come so I tried to brake and get back in my lane and the car started sliding on the ice. I freaked but Ryan helped me get back over in time. I was shaking for a little bit. It was scary but other than that, it was a nice drive. We spent a week in Provo and Ryan went skiing one day and another day he took Drew sledding. It was fun to see my cousins and aunt and uncle. Because we went up a day late, we extended our vacation a day so we were able to go to my aunt and uncle's house for dinner on New Years. My aunt and cousins make the best chinese food. It was nice coming home to 70 degree weather. The funny thing was that night after we got home, Ryan and I both got this chill and was cold. We actually had to turn our air up to 71 because we couldn't get rid of this chill. We are back to 69 in our house now, thank goodness!

Drew loves Choo Choo Trains. This is our neighbor's and he had to go and look at it everytime we got home or went outside. Thank goodness for After Christmas sales. While in UT, I found a Choo Choo Train decoration to put outside next year, 75% off! I love Target deals.

Drew loves playing in Kylee's bouncer and was in heaven when I had both out.
