We are working really hard with Kylee on sitting. She just doesn't want to do it. We do leg muscle exercises daily, massages, and sitting practice. She doesn't want anything to do with sitting. Over the weekend I thought of putting her in the bumbo. That worked for maybe 2 min. and then she lays on her left side. Everyday I give Kylee a variety of toys in hopes she can find a favorite. She really didn't take a liking to any toys...until Saturday. She loves the little plastic keys!!! YAY! She does like this ducky but gets bored very easily. The keys entertain her for 15 min. if not longer. So today I put her on the couch so she had a good view of her surroundings and gave her the keys to play with and she did quite well in the bumbo. I had to reposition her 3 times out of the 20 min. in it but hey...she was in it for a good 20 min. Hopefully we can get her sitting soon!

Wubbzy
I think everyone knows that Drew is in love with Wow Wow Wubbzy. Well, when Kylee was born, my good friend from jr. high and high school came by to visit me and brought Drew a little stuffed Wubbzy. We searched everywhere for one and couldn't find one but apparently we didn't think to look at the grocery store. Well, Drew loves it so much and sleeps with it every night. One night last week I went in to check on him, and this is how he was. Thanks Kelly!

I Really Try
I know I have been horrible with my posts. I really try to post one every week but lately it has just been a little crazy. Last weekend we had 3 showings for our house. We had another one yesterday and hope we have more on Saturday. I am a perfectionist and have to have my house look spotless each time so I cleaned my house twice last weekend, two showings were back to back. We just keep crossing our fingers that we get an offer. I really am not too stressed about it. I haven't found a house that I like yet, so once I do, then I will be stressing. I really want to stay in our area and keep our same ward so maybe if I am patient, something will open up.

So what have we been up to the last 2 weeks??? Well, last week was just crazy with house stuff, nothing much, oh ya...my little girl turned 6 months!!! Wow, she is growing so fast. I was actually really anxious to go to the doctors and throw all my questions at him. I think he was a little more prepared this time, except for the whole leg issue. I'll get back to that one. Kylee weighs just under 13 pounds and is in the 25% and is in the 80% for height. She is doing really well in the growing department. As for her eating, she can only handle oatmeal, not rice, and veges seem to be fine, I've only tried 2 so far. Fruit is a no no but I think she can't handle citric acid and every store bought fruit in the baby food has some kind of acid put in it. So I bought a little puree thingy at Target and am going to try that with bananas and apple sauce. If she handles that then I know it is the added acid she can't handle. The doctor thinks she can't break down protein and it is just a development thing that she will grow out of. I hope it happens fast.

Ok, Back to the leg issue. Kylee still can't sit on her own and at the time of her appointment couldn't really do it with my help. She only uses her right leg while in the jumperoo and she wouldn't stand when you try to stand her in your lap. The doctor was really puzzled by this and after analyzing her for a while, he thinks it is just a delay and it too will come. She has really good back muscles but she just doesn't like to use her left leg for some weird reason, and therefore doesn't have the balance down. So I have been working with her and now she can sit with my help and jumps with both legs half the time. Hopefully she catches up by next month or we go and see a specialist. Whew...that was long, but it was a long appointment. Poor doctor, probably hates seeing me because he knows my kids have so many issues. Yah, I am thinking only one more for us. My kids have such issues the first 1 1/2 years of their lives!!!

Then this week we got some kind of flu bug. There was a lot of puking on Tuesday from both my kids. Kylee was the worst and I put her on Pedialite on Wednesday. Drew's flu only lasted a day or 2 but Kylee still has it as of this morning. Neither had a fever so its hard to say if it is gone. I went to the store to get some more pedialite and looked at the ingredients and it has citric acid...no wonder she kept puking and seemed to have a stomach ache yesterday. So, needless to say, I didn't buy it and have continued to feed her only milk but a little at a time. So hopefully the puking is gone. Then Drew has decided that 5:30 is a great time to get up every morning for the past 2 or 3 weeks. Sometimes I have to get him to go back to sleep at 4:30. I swear, I don't get any sleep anymore these days. But he takes great naps that last 2 1/2 to 3 hours! I would rather he sleep in and take shorter naps. I am not a morning person! Anyways, so now you know why I haven't been updating more frequently. Between waking up between 5 and 6 AM and tutoring every day, I am so tired by the time the kids go to bed. I tell Ryan, I am lucky to get dressed in the morning. So we are ordering take out tonight and watching Twilight and going to bed early...sounds so good to me!

Finally an Update!
I know I have been lacking on my weekly updates but it has just been crazy and stressful in our house this past month. We finally have just about every project I wanted done on the house, and today we are listing it on the MLS through my brother-in-law. We tried selling it on our own but needs to be on the MLS to get the best exposure. So hopefully the ball starts rolling now!

I started potty training Drew this week. I knew he was ready because he was constantly taking his diaper off and telling me when he did go in his diaper. It started off rough. I thought he would love sitting on the toilet but he didn't. I would give him a candy for going but it was a struggle getting him on the toilet and actually going. My sister Cindi gave me the idea of giving him a candy when he gets on the toilet and then another one if he actually goes. That did it! Thanks Cindi! Wednesday was the turning point for him. My other sister Julie forewarned me that once you think you have it down, there will be lots of accidents and that was yesterday. But today has been good with no accidents. I am so glad this whole potty training experience just seemed to click for Drew. It makes my life so much less stressful.

So excited to go to Toys R Us to get a free Thomas Train!
It was so cute last night. Around midnight I hear Drew calling for me. I go into his room and he is getting off his bed saying poop. I asked him if he needed to go poop and he says yes. He walks over to me with a funny walk and I check him and already pooped so I take his diaper off carefully and put him on the toilet. He goes some more! He probably could have made it in time to the toilet if I didn't take my jolly time getting to his room. Oh and just so you know, he wears a diaper to bed and naps. He isn't quite ready for that step yet! I was so proud of him for being able to wake up and realize he had to go potty and call for me. What a cutie!

But don't let his cuteness fool you....he can be quite the attitude boy. We have had lots of tantrums this week and I have no idea what has sparked this. About a month ago, I was at Fry's grocery shopping and this older guy walked past us twice, the first time Drew was being good, and the second time he was starting to have issues. This guy makes the funniest comment....he reminds me of Dennis the Menace...I about laughed so hard. I wasn't sure if he was commenting on the way he looks or the way he was acting. I think it was the way he looks because Drew was actually not too bad until we were ready to check out. I look back now and totally agree!

Ok, enough about the 2 year old. What about the little girl....my sweet Kylee! Can you believe she will be 6 months next week. I don't think she will be crawling for another month but boy does she like to roll and wiggle. She loves just chilling on the floor and when she gets bored of the floor, the jumper roo is her next favorite. Her stomach is able to handle oatmeal, thank goodness but not applesauce. I started sweet potatoes today so hopefully she can keep those down. Next week we are trying bananas...I hope her stomach will finally be ok with all kinds of food. Poor girl loves these news foods but just can't keep them in her tummy!

What a blessing it is to have these 2 kiddos in my life. I love them both to pieces. In a way, they balance each other out....Drew has way too much energy and is always getting into things. Kylee is so passive and content with just staring at you. She loves to lay on the floor with her head on the ground and just watch whoever is in the room. They are like night and day. I seriously don't know what I would have done if I had two Drew's in this house! I think our family would stay just the 4 of us.

Happy 30th!
I just have to give a shout out to my wonderful husband who turns 30 today! Wow, we are getting old. I am married to one awesome man. He has been working really hard lately with work, finishing projects around the house, and taking care of rentals. Our stress has been a little high lately and even though it takes him forever to do a simple project, I appreciate all that he does for our family! I love that he will wash the bottles every night for me and do the dishes if I ask him too. I hate dishes. He also cleans up poop when I won't...what a man! He is a great Dad and Drew and Kylee both love him to pieces. Last night, Drew was playing around after going to bed and I went in his room and was giving him tons of kisses. He jumps off his bed and does this funky noise and points down the hall. I asked him if he wanted to give daddy kisses and he said yes. So he walks down the hall, goes up to Ryan's face and gives him a kiss. Ryan hugs him and Drew walks back on to his room and get on his bed and rolls over ready to go to sleep. What would we do without Daddy! Have a fabulous day honey! I am taking him to Joe's Farm Grill to get his free birthday meal for lunch...yum!
