The Sitting Position

We are working really hard with Kylee on sitting. She just doesn't want to do it. We do leg muscle exercises daily, massages, and sitting practice. She doesn't want anything to do with sitting. Over the weekend I thought of putting her in the bumbo. That worked for maybe 2 min. and then she lays on her left side. Everyday I give Kylee a variety of toys in hopes she can find a favorite. She really didn't take a liking to any toys...until Saturday. She loves the little plastic keys!!! YAY! She does like this ducky but gets bored very easily. The keys entertain her for 15 min. if not longer. So today I put her on the couch so she had a good view of her surroundings and gave her the keys to play with and she did quite well in the bumbo. I had to reposition her 3 times out of the 20 min. in it but hey...she was in it for a good 20 min. Hopefully we can get her sitting soon!

Bumbo's are the greatest invention EVER!! Good luck with the baby toys, my kids were always picky too!

I've never tried a bumbo, but they seem awesome. What cute kids you have. We love Wubzy too!

As for your question to me... I'm about 98% sure that my kids are going to Neely next year. We haven't had the greatest teachers for K & 1st (especially 1st), and they only have full-day K (for now... I know that may change). Sam is so young, and he's signed up for half-day K at Neely. I'm looking forward to sending my kids to school with their cousins. ANYWAY... people seem excited about the new principal at Franklin South.

Those bumbo things look pretty cool. I've never used one though...some of my kids have been stubborn about different milestones. I think they were just waiting for their own time. Kylee is soo cute!
