Peek A Boo

This week we have been rearranging our house around. We put our computers out in the living room and so the seating arrangement in our living room needed to be condensed. I never really liked our end table in the family room because it was a pedestal one and Drew could get back behind the rocker and collect all our dust bunnies and play with the cords. Not a good situation. So in the living room I had to remove the two end tables and so I decided to replace the pedestal end table with the one from the living room. It was nice because it had a bottom shelf that prevented Drew from crawling behind the rocker. Well, it only took him a few days to surpass this challenge. All of a sudden he realized he can climb through it and maneuvered his way to the back. He knew what he was doing was wrong and when I said his name he just turned and looked at me like, HAHAHA! It was precious. Thank goodness he has only done this that one day.

The rest of the pictures were from Sunday when he was walking around the house. He is becoming quite the walker. He loves the new found freedom. It's a good thing he wears a diaper, for that added little cushion for when he falls. He falls a lot, but each day seems like there is at least one less fall!

PS - Click on the pictures of him smiling really big and you can see all 4 teeth! I know they are not the best quality when you click on them, but at least you can see the teeth perfectly.

Random Pictures

So, my sister-in-law called me today and complained that I don't have any pictures of me on my blog. I was out visting Ryan today at work so when we got home I took a few pictures of Drew and me. Alot didn't turn out because it was hard taking pictures of yourself with a little squirmy boy but a few turned out pretty good. So here I am.

I also forgot to post this cute picture of Drew sitting on the dishwasher. He loves playing with the dishes when I unload them, so one night last week I was making dinner and he was getting a little whiney, I opened the dishwasher so he could play with the bowls. The next thing I know is he is sitting on top of it and having a good old time. When I looked over at him, he gave me this look like am I in trouble?!!

We aren't looking at the camera because I turned the screen facing us so I could see if it was focused and centered. I forgot we needed to look at the camera and not the screen!

Silly Drew

The Walk

He's Walking!!

He finally did it on Saturday. Drew took more than just four steps. It was so fun to watch him build up his confidence as he got better the more he tried. He now will be walking along the wall and then let go and start walking. It is so cute and we are loving every minute of it. Just over a week ago Drew got in his second tooth on top so now he has a total of 4 teeth and he has 2 more on top just about to come through. I say give it 2 more weeks and he should have 6 teeth! So, the first video is kind of long. Sorry. Drew was having fun with his tongue and being so silly. It also shows him developing his confidence. The second video shows Drew walking from the end of the rug to almost the couch. We just can't get enough of our little man. Oh ya, and we got his Halloween costume. He is going to be an elephant!

Camping Fun!

We survived our first camping trip with Drew! What a weekend it was, but we had a lot of fun. We went camping with most of the Christensen family. The weather was beautiful, nice and cool. We camped just past Christopher Creek and it was a perfect area for our big family of 20! Drew had fun but got frustrated having to be held a lot and not having the freedom to explore. The only time we let him down on the ground was when he played with Julie's toys she brought...thank goodness she brought her toys. It allowed Drew to have a lot of fun. We now know of a few things Drew needs for Christmas. So, we brought up a big tent and a pack and play for Drew to sleep in. The only problem was Drew would wake up to any noise and we finally couldn't get him to go back to sleep in the pack and play, so I tried to lay him next to me and he was out. So, Drew slept next to me the whole night and everytime he woke up from a noise I would just put my arm on him and he would go right back to sleep. I was hoping he would sleep in because he went to bed late and woke up a lot but he was up at 6 AM. But that's OK. My favorite part was roasting marshmellows and making Smores! I think Ryan's favorite part was having fun keeping the fire going, he loves to play with fire. We took off pretty quick after lunch so Ryan could go to the Priesthood session of Conference. Next time we have a campout, hopefully we won't be in such a hurry to get home and we can have a little more fun!
If you want to see more pictures, check out Julie, Cindi, and Kimberly's blogs. I always forget to take lots of pictures!

Best Friends

I have been meaning to make this post for a few days and just haven't found the time. I decided to do a quick post before we head to Payson for a family campout. Last Friday, I watched my friend Jessica's little boy Connor. It was a lot of fun and the boys love playing with each other. Drew and Connor are only 24 hours apart and born at the same hospital. They share alot in common. We are sad that Connor's family just moved to south Gilbert, about 15 minutes away. Instead of being a few blocks away, they are many miles away. Hopefully they can stay the best of friends. Drew loves playing with Connor. It's like they know each other so well!
