Where do I even begin. We were planning on going camping with all my family this past weekend. I packed everything Thursday night and really all I had to do was make the Tin Foil Dinners. Friday morning Drew wakes up at 2:30 in the morning. He had a rough night before and took him 45 min. just to fall asleep. So we knew something was up. I take his temperature and it is 102. I tried to put him back to sleep and he sleeps for an hour and doesn't want anything to do with his crib. So I rock him in the chair and we sleep for a little bit but by 5 AM he is done. So now I have this crabby boy who just wants to be held. Yes, that picture is a horrible one of me, but you get the idea of my night! Ryan gets up at 6 and takes over so I can sleep. I get up at 8 and get Drew into the doctor. He is so upset the second I step foot into the office. He cried the entire time and worked up quite the sweat. The poor nurse. We have never seen her before and I felt really bad because it had nothing to do with her. So turns out Drew just had a fever with the aches, nothing else. The doctor and I were both surprised. So I finally was able to get Drew to bed at 12:15 and he woke up 3 hours later and his fever was gone. I was so excited. He started to play with his toys and even ate some lunch. I made a few phone calls and we were off for Forest Lakes by 4 PM. By the time we got in the car, Drew decided to be crabby once again but we survived. We knew it would be a long camping trip but I really wanted to go. I already packed and everything.

So camping was a lot of fun. Very cold and I wasn't as prepared as last time. I learned and will do better next time. We bought this blow up mattress that is the double decker, I call it, and it was so comfortable, I was just worried all night Drew was cold that I didn't sleep much. Drew woke up at 5 but we didn't get up till 6. He was feeling better Saturday and played a little more but was still clingy to me but finally let Ryan hold him, which gave me a break. We had fun roasting marshmallows, playing games, and celebrating my niece's birthday.
We borrowed Ryan's family's Ranger and everyone had fun riding it around. We found a great spot just outside of Forest Lakes. Drew loved the 4 wheel rides and couldn't get enough of them. We had a horrible ride home because Drew wouldn't sleep or take a nap before or during the ride home. Sunday, we decided to keep Drew home from church, which ended up being a wise decision, and Drew slept for 3 hours and 45 min. for his nap. I still had to go in and wake him up. We also hit 105 degrees yesterday which made for a very hot Sunday. Today is suppose to be close to 110! Not fun at all. But by Thursday we are suppose to be back in the 80's. Go figure! So that was our wonderful weekend. We were hoping it turned out a little different but that's OK. We still had fun!

I stole these pictures from Mary and Cindi. Check out their blogs if you want to see more pictures. I brought my camera but never had a chance to get it out because I was usually stuck with a little boy in my arms!
