The Big 1

Can you believe exactly one year ago today I was at the hospital having just delivered Drew? Where has this year gone to. I can still remember that day so clearly. I only had to push for 20 minutes and out came my precious little boy at 11:50 AM. Some how my air conditioning got turned on to full blast and I was so cold (remember this is in the winter). I was shivering so bad I was scared to hold Drew in fear I would drop him. Poor Ryan was in the middle of midterms at ASU and was studying that night and had to leave the next morning to take an online test. But we all survived and a year later we look back and feel so blessed to have a happy, healthy little boy.

Today, Drew woke up to Daddy singing Happy Birthday to him. Then, after his morning little cat nap we were off to meet up with Daddy at the Chick-fil-A by his work so Drew could get his first kids meal. It is a tradition my sisters started, getting a kids meal at Chick-fil-A for their birthday. After lunch we ran a few errands and then it was home to take an afternoon nap. I am trying to get him to be on one nap but ever since his ear infection, he just hasn't slept as well during the night or day.

Sunday, we are having a little birthday party at my Mom's house with all my neices and nephews. That is when Drew will get his first birthday cake. It should be pretty interesting. He will open his presents then but today he did get a new pair of shoes from us. He looks so cute in them. He opened his telephone a few weeks early and loves carrying and dragging it around the house, even if it is upside down!
