Catching Up on Drew

I know, I am once again horrible at updating my blog. Once again, I apologize. We had 12 showings last week on our house and did get an offer but it was pretty ridiculous. Now we are trying to decide if we should take our house off the market and wait till it gets better. Oh the decisions. It is so hard trying to keep your house clean with 2 little ones, especially a little monster like Drew.

Don't you love how he colored his forehead. Yes, he had fun and got highlighter all over himself, my table, and wall. Then a few days later he found a sharpie and got that all over the wall, just below where he put the highlighter. I ended up just painting over it. But still have evidence on the window ledge that I don't want to paint. Lets see, then he got into the bag balm that I was using on Kylee because she had a horrible diaper rash and smothered it all over my couch. Ryan and I scrubbed it really good and it won't come off but it is slowly fading. I need to try and clean it again and see if it will disappear. Then a few days ago he got into my carmex and smothered that all over the couch and floor. Yes, he is such a terrorist!

Look carefully abover Ryan's legs, that is what bag balm looks like on my couch. Now imagine that little smear over 75% of the couch...yes, it looks horrible.

But I can never stay mad at him for too long. He can be the sweetest little boy when he wants to be. The other day I was so exhausted from getting maybe 4 hours of sleep the night before because Kylee didn't want to sleep. I was falling asleep on the couch 15 min. before nap time with the kids on the floor watching cartoons. Drew comes over to me and lays his blanket over me and kisses me on the forehead. He says, "Love you mommy." He kept kissing my till I acknowledged his kisses. What a cutie. He is maturing and I hope he continues and loses his 2 year old attitude fast. He says "thanks" all the time when I get him things and do things for him. He has become quite the talker and loves to tell you there is an airplane in the air or a big truck on the road. He will continue telling you this until you repeat what he says. Just saying yes, doesn't suffice him.

For Memorial Day, I decided to spend some one on one time with him and we took a walk to the park and fed the ducks. Drew loved feeding the ducks, even though they were not very hungry. The birds ate most of the bread. The other day, we went to the park and I pushed Drew on the swings and that only lasted maybe 5 min. He didn't want to do anything but play in the sand. He is so unpredictable and can be quite the character. He loves to think he is cold all the time and says, "brr, its cold," while rubbing his arms. He also can't go anywhere without his blanket. Yes, it has become quite the rag and I HATE taking it out in public but sometimes I give up with fighting him. He has been having separation anxiety lately and I have no idea what sparked it. He has been struggling going to nursery for the past few Sundays and NEVER has had a problem in the past. So hopefully that phase will pass soon. Anyways, that's my catch up on Drew. I promise to catch up on Kylee this weekend and also Ryan and me!

Sorry because I can only laugh at Drew. Sounds like my boys! Good luck on the house!
