Catch up

I finally have a window of opportunity to blog...Thank goodness! Kylee decided this week that she didn't want to take naps, or she would just sleep for 30 min!!! Drove me crazy because I couldn't get things done and missed my much needed naps. It is just a phase and I think it is starting to fade...at least I hope. Before our UT trip, she learned to pull herself up but never did it again. It wasn't until this week that she realized she could do this new trick. She loves this new freedom she has discovered...so instead of napping she wants to keep up with her new trick. We finally lowered her crib down and that has helped so now she doesn't pull herself up in bed. So hopefully we can get back to taking good naps again. I know I still need to post the video of her the first time she crawled, but that is Ryan's job so I am waiting on him. She is quite the crawler and is very fast. She loves to crawl to the dog's food and water and eat the dog food and play with the water! I think she will be walking sooner than later. She is already showing signs of wanting to walk so we will see.

As for Drew, he has completely grown up right before my eyes. He is so polite and always says please and thank you. He doesn't throw tantrums unless he is tired and hungry and we only have bad days when he doesn't sleep well at night and wakes up early. But those are very few. He loves this firetruck and has to take it everywhere. His neighbor friend had one and Drew became attached to it so I had to buy him one. Luckily Sam's Club sells a set of 4 so when the cousins come over to play, we have extras so there is no fighting. Drew is quite the little talker and is starting to say sentences now. My favorite is "I love you too Mommy" and sometimes he shortens it to "you too Mommy." He know how to melt my heart. He is now in a twin bed and loves it. I guess he got Ryan's looks and my habits. He is such a wiggler in bed and has to have space to sprawl. I love checking in on him every night to see what position he is in. He has been struggling with boredom the past few weeks because it is so hot outside. But he still wants to go outside and lasts 15 to 20 min. on the really hot days, but it allows him a little fresh air. There was so much more I wanted to blog about but can't remember. I need to be better now that my little ones are growing up so fast and doing and saying the cutest things!
