(I have a few more pics to post but they are on Ryan's phone so check back tomorrow for more pics) So we headed up to UT for the 4th of July but decided to go through Vegas and stay a night. It was fun but made the ride up very long. We got stuck in the Hoover Dam traffic and that lasted an hour. Then we had to drop our dog off at Ryan's Aunt's house just outside of Vegas so by the time we got to our hotel the kids were a little grumpy. We walked the strip at 8 PM and went and saw the Bellagio's Water Show.
The kids loved it and now every time we see water squirting in the air Drew tells us he wants to see the water show. The kids didn't go to bed till 11 PM and were up at 7 AM. We went to the outlet mall but ended up going to the wrong one and it didn't have the stores I wanted. By the time we went to the "good" one, it was early afternoon and the kids both fell asleep and there was a line to park. So we decided to head up to UT. I was a little grumpy by this point because it was so hot and I had little sleep the night before. So I think we will do another Vegas trip when the bridge work is completed on the Hover Dam and my kids are older and travel better.
So we finally made it to Utah and it was beautiful. The weather was perfect and even a little chilly in the evening. We stayed pretty busy and ended up not getting see our friends or my cousins that we usually get to see, but we will definitely make sure we see them all next time. Ryan took Drew 4 wheeling up at the cabin by Park City and he loved it. He didn't want to stop and Ryan had to take him on a ride one last time when they got home. Now, every time he sees a 4 wheeler he wants to go for a ride. He is total boy and Ryan loves it! At the last minute, Ryan and I decided to go to the Oquirrh Temple Open House. It was absolutely beautiful and we can't wait to go back. It was Ryan and my first time attending an open house. Can't wait for the Gilbert and Phoenix temples to be completed. It was definitely a nice get away and looking forward to December when there will be snow and Kylee will hopefully be walking.
